kidBlocker is a free, open-source browser extension designed to help parents protect their children online. We are committed to your privacy and want you to understand exactly how your data is handled.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data. kidBlocker does not send any information to external servers. All data stays on your device or within your browser's built-in sync service.

Data Storage

kidBlocker stores the following settings locally using your browser's built-in storage (chrome.storage.sync):

• Your selected blocking mode (blacklist or whitelist)
• Your list of blocked or allowed domains
• Your settings password (if configured)

If you are signed in to your browser account, these settings may sync across your devices through your browser's own sync service. This is a built-in browser feature and does not involve any third-party servers.

Third-Party Services

kidBlocker does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or data collection services.

Permissions

The extension requests the following browser permissions:

• Storage – to save your settings locally
• DeclarativeNetRequest – to block or allow websites based on your configuration
• Host Permissions – to apply blocking rules to all websites
